Fave big towns, small cities in Alberta?

Post Body

Looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and want to live somewhere smaller, more easy to commute around town, and cheaper to live in and a slower pace of life. I'm early 40's, work in restaurants, single guy without kids. Born and raised in a small town north of Edmonton, lived in AB and BC. Been in Calgary for 2 years and hate that I spend a good part of my day getting to and from my job.

I liked the size of Victoria, but could do smaller. Checked out Lethbridge a few years ago (and wish I didn't) So far I'm considering Medicine Hat, Camrose, High River.

What places would you suggest having a look to settle down in?
