I could really use some advice. Next week I’m flying to Fairbanks from Alabama and have no idea what to wear that will be appropriate for the cold when I arrive. I will be getting there around midnight so I expect it to be around -10 if not colder. The temperature where I’m at is around 50 degrees when I’ll be boarding.
I've done that trip or similar many times. Jeans and a shirt, with a jacket and maybe bring a sweater. Layers, is what's important. The flight will be warm and stuff but you will be a little chilly before you arrive at your accommodations. The anchorage airport is warm and any taxi or ride share will have the heat up.
Good luck, be safe and have a wonderful trip!
