If you're a perv, would you own up to it?
Just sharing my experience in social media and asking for your opinion on the matter.
So, I have a private Instagram account, and two other accounts that I use for work and for my photography. This private Instagram account that I have would be my oldest account amongst the three and this is where I "bare it all" where I have tasteful photos of me in lingerie, where I share my boudoir, and my personal stuff.
I started it as a public profile since it wasn't that "open" before, but when I started posting more skin, creatively shot, colored, and curated, I started gaining quite a number of male followers including photographers which became good friends of mine since we're in the same industry.
SIDEBAR: Don't ask me for my handle, that's not the point of this post. It's not some shameless plug.
Until one day, I've received a ton of follows from random people and when I asked where they got my handle, they sent me a screenshot of a website where Instagram handles of girls with huge tits/sexy photos were posted. Immediately, I've removed those followers and turned my account private. My friends asked what happened and told me to be a little bit more careful because there are some people who use pictures of girls for scams.
True to what they said, I've had people who used my handle on Omegle, Tinder, WeChat, and Bumble. It was so fucked up, I was getting angry messages from guys who say I never got back to them.
Some even called me a poser. WTF.
It lasted for a few weeks until the influx died down. Aside from the random follows, I got a ton of DMs, some were indecent proposals. I mean, I created my account to document and save my photos where in people would be able to appreciate them. So I didn't mind if I had only a few followers, as long as I can trust them that they won't dox me.
There are people who would follow me, including blue check guys, and influencers. There was one guy who told me I was a "thirst trap" and asked why I won't meet up with him to hook up. I know, what a douche, right?
Recently, I was harassed by a guy who kept on calling me on Instagram and this was one of the bunch of DJs my friend asked me to accept their follow requests. I was being nice, so I did.
But this guy was harassing me to the point that he would send disappearing photos of his crotch in his briefs while lying in bed and DENY sending such photo. He would bug me and tell me that he was horny and call me through videocall. Of course, I didn't answer but what annoys me is the nerve of this guy to DENY BEING SUCH A PERV.
I mean, I'm completely fine when a guy admits that he uses my IG account as fap material, I appreciate the honesty, really. But I just hate it when guys deny being an obvious perv. He probably does it a lot that's why he uses disappearing photos and not mention that he sent one.
I honestly would own up to it. I open tell guys whom I ogle, whom I lust for that I check them out or masturbate to them, in a non-creepy way. There is this double-standard about that level of honesty, but hell, you might get something out of it.
I would love to know if you've experienced such a thing, and if you're in the other side who does the same thing. I want to know your thoughts about this.
So my question is, would you hide your perversion or would you own up to it?
