I M25, recently I got hired and first time ko pumunta sa office after training wfh style. I caught someone's eye, yung department head. He is quite good looking, around 5'9 ang height, medyo buff, tapos may konting beard. Siya una nag approach sa akin, I shook his hand and got whiff of his perfume. Nakakataas kilay ang bango. He introduced me to the other employees and gave me a short rundown on how things work around. Ang attentive niya tbh, great first impression.

I was then introduced to the officer who'll take over and give me a proper rundown since may upcoming call si DH. I was assigned a desk with office materials. Officer told me to check my email for the necessary credentials for logging in and access their programs.

Lunchtime came and gusto ako pasabayin nung mga newly met workmates. But as I was about to say "yes" tinawag ako ni DH to have a word with him sa kanyang office. Kaya pina-una ko nalang sila.

I entered the office he told me to close the door behind and me and told me to have a seat. He asked me if naka-lunch na ako, told him na wala pa. He then gave me a look then said na "sige sama ka sakin, malapit ko na ito matapos" as he typed on his computer.

Dinala niya ako sa restaurant a few blocks from the office. Treat niya. Syempre I told him na I can afford to pay pero nag-insist siya so hinayaan ko nalang. He asked me plenty of questions like how I found the job and what my background is. Sinabi ko naman and he shared his story aswell. He is 34 and single.

I got curious so I asked without being offensive if may balak siya nag settle down, he replied by saying "bakit, gusto mo?". May short pause tapos sabi niya "kidding lang, wala ako mahanap na prospect eh". To escape the awkward conversation, I changed the topic.

Okay naman ang lunch, we went back to the office and resumed work. Na-una lang ako out since na naubos naman ang mga gawain and I said bye sa iba and DH.

Honestly, I have no interest in pursuing him because I want to maintain a professional work ethic. Dating coworkers and bosses is a big no-no for me. Also getting into a relationship is the last thing in my mind right now, hindi ko pa kaya maghandle relationship drama (I'm single since birth) 😵‍💫
