I have an overly excited golden who loves humans and is a bit leash reactive to other dogs out of fear. These are two big things I've been consistently working on with him. The other morning on our walk, he kept getting distracted, kept looking back at the woman walking behind us, I tried to keep him focused on me, but sometimes humans beats out high value treats. I finally walked him off the sidewalk to let the woman pass by. He followed me, plopped his little butt right down at my feet and looked up at me while the woman walked by. She turned to me and smiled and mouthed "Good job!" with a thumbs up to not distract my dog or get him too excited. Just wanted to say thank you again, that was such a kind gesture and made my morning. I've been working so hard with my boy. Moments like these make me really love my little neighborhood.
