As long as Akali has a 10 sec duration true invis shroud she will never be balanced.
Post Body

I see alot of people suggesting things for Riot to do to make her more balanced between competitive and solo Q when the shroud imo is the main culprit of what makes her unbalanceable. I said it from day 1 and ill continue to say it, Shroud should not ever have been allowed to last 10 seconds. With how it expands now and how her damage rotation is currently it will always pose a problem of feeling like you can never actually trade back with Akali in lane and her ability to stall in pro-play.

Alot of people say old Akali's kit was toxic design due to her point and click but at least her shroud was used as a defensive tool. She used old shroud to wait out CDs before going back in and also left herself way more exposed to return damage then the current version. Akali now uses shroud purely offensively to make it impossible retaliate while Q auto spamming you down. If Riot ever wants her in a healthy state Shroud duration needs a huge nerf to its duration with how her current playstyle is maybe down to like 6 seconds or somthing. Make her more exposed and out in the open but buff up other areas of her kit to compensate. As long as it exists as is the cycles of nerfs and slight buffs with bigger nerfs will plague this champion forever.
