So eveyone knows Akali is dead now. With a 37% winrate mid and a 42% winrate top since patch picking her is pretty much trolling right now. She was never really good in solo Q to begin with except for high elo and even then it was only because of her ability to hold a lane so well with how the game is played up there with the fleet build.

That said i want to use this thread as an opportunity to start a discussion about what Riot can do going forward to make her feel better to play in solo Q finally. She hasnt been good in solo Q even before the latest changes unless you were damn near masters so now that they are starting from ground 0 its a good opportunity for them to really address her issues.

IMO some of the things riot needs to fix if they ever want her to be good in solo Q are this.

• With her heal removed it either needs to be placed back into the kit on her passive or her base stats need to be greatly increased.

• Her damage and burst pattern are too slow and low which limits her ability to carry even when she gets a lead. They should lower the delay on R1 to R2 and either lower or remove her passive circle radius.

• Getting a lead on Akali doesnt feel like it has as much impact as on other assassins. For her high skill cap she should feel more rewarding when you're doing well similar to a riven or yasuo or zed. Theres very little reward for playing her well right now.

• She needs some of her bugs finally fixed as some of them are gamebreaking. Those include her R1 fizzle bug, her passive circle not being placed around enemy champions and instead on herself, and her R2 sometimes not doing damage.

Those are imo good places to start if they want her to not be a bad solo Q champion forever. Hopefully u/ProfessorAkaliOnYT, u/Blaustoise, or u/Reav3 see this and can pass it along to whoever is in charge of her changes. Im sure none of us Akali mains want her to be OP but we also dont want her to be in the state shes in right now either. We just want her playable and good champ for solo Q.
