Since Akalis rework i think most can agree she doesnt really feel like much of an assassin anymore with the delays to her burst damage and over reliance on shroud/hit and run tactics with her new passive. With shroud catching nerfs constantly and the new nerfs coming inthe ability to get damage out playing a hit and run playstyle is getting harder and harder and her late game is atrocious as she can not get damage out fast enough to blow up a a squishy compared to her other assassin counterparts before she herself gets blown up.
u/Reav3 commentated the other day that Riot will hopefully look to push her back towards an assassin style rather then her current skirmisher style after her incoming nerfs which got me thinking. Akalis damage right now isnt bad its just the speed that it comes out later in the game is what feels terrible namely with passive and the delay of her R2. If you need an adc thats caught out to die in 1.5 seconds Akali is not a good option to do it. So my suggestion is if they removed the execute portion of her R2 and just made it do a flat number scaling with ap would it feel better and more assassin-like then the current missing health scaling? Obviously the ratios can be adjusted but i feel like itd fix her current frustration of not being able to take out priority targets in a timely manner later and in teamfights and push her to want to go more ap heavy builds as well. What are you guys thoughts? /u/ProfessorAkaliOnYT id like to hear your input on this as well since you talk to Riot devs a bit more often then the rest of us. Do you think itd be a fair change?
