Rant about Octagonairsoft
Post Body

OK, so first off let me say that I'm hoping it was an accident, but this accident cost me $275 so I'm still not too happy.

To start off, I did a lot of research and kept hearing positive things from this retailer from most people. A couple of outliers but over all positive even from people in the US. On top of that I messaged Phoenix about their standards of pre-owned products and if he could send me a picture of the item, but he just assured me that his standards were very high and how a it only had minor scratches to the body. So I was convinced and bought a pre owned TM SPAS 12 with a stock for $275 including shipping.

It took about a month for my gun to get to me in California from Hong Kong which is no big deal and the box it came in was padded enough. So no complaints there and was pretty pleased. The gun was a little scratched up externally, but I was warned about that so again, no big deal.

I started noticing some weird things almost instantly while I was cleaning the inner barrels. I know that even factory new barrels are dirty and need to be cleaned, but the barrels were disgusting. It took about 3 sheets of paper towels for each barrel to come out clean and up until the last couple of runs with the cleaning rod the sheets I was using came out completely black. On top of that the bottom two inner barrels were having trouble fitting the rod itself even if it didn't have a sheet of paper on the cleaning end. I was a little shocked but I was trying to stay positive so I just didn't think about it.

Fast forward to the first game with the gun, I was just trying to see the range, and only 2 bbs shoot out and completely shot off the orange tip that was glued on. The second shot, the same 2 bbs shot straight and one rolled to the floor and it continued to do that throughout the game until the second lower barrel just started doing the same. So both bottom barrels aren't shooting and only the top one is really doing anything, on top of that some time during the first game I went for a reload and the latch door just completely fell off while at the spawning area. It turns out, the gun has a crack in the receiver and has to be glued in place before it gets caught on something and makes it even worse. To top it all off, some of the screws were loose so in the middle of the game cosmetic parts just started falling off.

Idk if anyone else has experienced something like this from the same retailer, but it's my first and last experience with this retailer, and I just needed to vent a bit of my frustration.

TLDR: I purchased a pre owned gun that barley shoots and has a cracked receiver from HK for $275 after being assured by pervious shoppers and the retailer that they have very high standards.
