Internal Up Grade Help Avalon Gen 2 Saber Carbine
Post Body

Hi everyone, I have had my Avalon Gen. 2 Saber Carbine for about a year now and now that the warranty is up i have decided to do a few upgrades on the inside. First I'll start with a little background so you have an idea of what I'm trying to get out of the parts.

I play outdoors and usually have a play style of a DMR where I am not one to go running and spraying (too old for that). Now I don't want to make this gun a DMR I want to be able to hit the auto switch when able to during some games. I love my gun and set up but with my style of play and having to use .30g BBs my fps is lower than i would like to be playing with. I've noticed my distance and flight speed just isn't where i would like it to be specially trying to shoot through brush. So I've decided to do some upgrades.

Went to a local shop told the tech what i wanted as stated above. i wanted to get a M130 spring so i wouldn't have to change anything or very little to the gearbox. They came back saying that i would notice much change with that spring and convinced me to get a M140 spring instead (madbull). I was hesitant when they said that the piston and motor could handle it. After buying the spring I'm assuming that yes it might handle it but its probably going to slow down my ROF a good bit which i am currently at about 22-24 rpm. Anyways now to what i have questions about the piston and motor upgrade to help keep that high rate of fire and also have the torque to pull the spring with ease. so heres what im looking at:

Piston- SHS lightened reinforced polycarbonate 15 tooth piston

I was recommended to get this from my local field tech who has lot of experience which what i have read seems to be a good choice. Now for the motor this is where i am struggling to decide I want to get the ASG U Infinity style motors bc i hear they are great quality but im not sure which one to get. i know that the lower the rpm rate the higher the torque but again i want to keep that higher rate of fire that i have.' Someone said to just get the 45000 that it would still have enough torque to pull the M140 spring . The one i have in mind is:

Motor- ASG long type Infinity CNC U-30000

I believe the current stock motor i have is a 22000 so i figured this would have a little high rpm but also enough torque to pull the spring? It is listed though when i look up the ASG motor as Std rpm and std Torque. Is this accurate am i on the right track? Somebody please help also i hope this wasn't confusing and yes i know its wordy af sorry...

I currently have a 11.1 titan battery. With .30 BBS Iā€™m shooting just a hair under 300 FPS so Iā€™m hoping to be just under 400 when done giving me an MED of 50ft at my field.
