Hi everyone, Airsoft noob here. I've been reading articles, forum posts, reviews, as well as watching many youtube videos, and I currently have my eyes on the following AEGs as my first airsoft gun.
- G&G ARP9
- CYMA MP5K
- Krytac Kriss Vector
- ASG CZ Scorpion EVO 3 (maybe)
A bit about me: I am a non-handy person (I can barely build a PC myself), so I probably won't be making any internal modification for a very long time. I am also located in Canada, so my selection is a bit more limited, and AEGs need to comply with the Canadian law (FPS needs to be between 366 and 500). I will be using the AEG to play with friends in the field (CQC, woodland etc).
G&G ARP9 seems to be a good option as it is only more expensive than CYMA MP5K, and already has the rail for external modification. However, while I was doing my research, it seems like G&G is infamous for its ETU and mosfet? As a non-handy person, how hard is it for me to replace those myself?
Both CYMA MP5K and Krytac Kriss Vector are the ones I want the most (the exterior). However, being a value brand, the quality of CYMA makes me a bit worried, and the Vector is the most expensive among these guns. Is CYMA MP5K a reliable gun out of box?
As for ASG CZ Scorpion EVO 3, I only include it here because I noticed it was mentioned over and over when I was doing the research on the other three AEGs. I don't really like its form factor though, and at its price point I would probably just go with Vector. Not to mention even the Canadian version of the Scorpion has orange tip...
As the boxing day is coming (26th of December, aka the Canadian Black Friday), I am making a purchase soon. Please help me with my first AEG purchase.
