Is it just me or do AirPods Pro 2 have an adaptive EQ issue?

Been using APP2 for a while now and have been overall impressed but tonight I just noticed that things seemed a bit muffled or not as crisp as normal. By putting them back in the case and then re connecting, after a few minutes sound quality was back to normal. About 30 minutes later it happened again but I can’t get it to reset like it did before. Anyone else having this issue?
