USB-C to Lightning adapter?

Apologies for the maybe dumb question, but would something like this work for charging my lightning port Airpod Max? I just got the new iPhone 16 which used the usb-c port and I'd love to use nicer usb-c cord for both (albeit with the attachment for charging the headphones).

The product page says NOT for headphones, but just wondering if that is because people want to use it for audio? I just want to use it for charging purposes. Unsure if there's any issue with using an adapter like that though?
