My in-ear XM4s are sadly starting to crap out on me so Im looking to go over-ear this time around. The standout options being Bose Ultra, Sony XM5 and the AirPod Max. While the two former opts are ~$325/$375, APMs are still $550 nearly 5 yrs after their release. I have an iPhone 14 pro and an iPad Air 5th gen. Are they really worth the extra $200-250?
I have the XM5’s and went to try the APM’s and was SHOCKED with how bad the noise cancelling was on the APM’s compared to my XM5’s. The sound quality of music was about the same as my XM5’s too.
So in my opinion, and according to my ears, they are NOT worth the money.
