Just received from the Director of the ANG:
Adjutants General,
Due to fiscal constraints, NDS readiness requirements and no funding in the budget, the ANG Fed TA program will not be continued.
IMPACTS: - Allows NGB/A1 to continue to fund AGR training line numbers which were increased during the tech to AGR conversion. - Wings with the 24 temp AGR resources supporting Education Service Offices(ESO) will not be funded, effective 1 Oct 2022.
BACKGROUND: During CR years (11 of last 52) flying hours, civilian pay, and WSS are the priority until the appropriation is passed. FY20: ANG Fed TA program was implemented to extend tuition assistance to all ANG DSG Members in support of their personal and professional development. FY20/21: ANG FEDTA funded through congressional adds to allow NGB to pursue long term funding through Program Objective Memorandum (POM). FY22/23: ANG Fed TA program has not received programmatic relief (Congressional Add/POM). Funding within execution year continues to be a challenge as the ANG has no trade space.
I would personally like to thank our Senior Leaders, Central Office Staff and ESOs for their hard work and dedication in promoting voluntary education to support our ANG members in their personal and professional development. Please encourage our members to continue to pursue their educational goals through State TA and Mil TA as eligible.
