Just got my first air fryer, and I plan to try out some Pagoda potstickers tomorrow. Multiple sites recommend brushing with vegetable oil, but I canโt stand the taste or smell of it. Is dairy or plant butter an okay alternative, or are there other oils besides standard vegetable or canola that someone could recommend? I have sesame oil, but Iโm not sure if the temp point on that is safe or not.
It's not like oil actually reaches that temp, right? When you bake a pizza at 450 degrees, that's the ambient temperature in the oven, it's not what you are cooking.

Extra virgin olive oil has a smoke point of 320, a very low smoke point actually.
