my mom called me crazy because i put a a Panko uncooked breaded chicken breast in my airfryer for 45 minutes at 375 degrees fahrenheit, am i insane or is that normal
So chicken is fully cooked usually at 160 degrees at the center. The closer you are to that temp, the more tender and juicy the chicken will be. In many kitchens depending on the environmental temp, chefs will take out the chicken at 150-155 and the "carry over cooking" will bring it up to 160 making a perfect chicken. "Carry over" is pretty essential in cooking because sometimes when you pull things off the heat, the continuous cooking with residual heat can often overcook the item.
Depending on how I cook, chicken pieces sautéed may take as little as 10 minutes. Salmon is usually 10- 12 minutes. Pork around the same (and can be eaten rare in some circumstances like lamb or beef.) A thermometer is your best friend if you are unsure.
