How do the toaster oven air fryers fair with fries?

My basket style air fryer crapped out on my and I am looking to replace it. A toaster over style would be more convenient and be able to do more, but I have heard that they don't function as well as air fryers as the basket types. So my question is how noticable is the difference? 80% of the time I use my air fryer I use it for reheating or making fries so I am really curious how they do with fries.
