Need Advice on proper thinning/reducing for my iwata eclipse
Post Body

Initial details

  • Airbrush make and model Iwata Eclipse HP-CS
  • Compressor make and model I will have to look that up
  • Paint or other medium you are using (what brand, which reducer/thinner?) Vallejo Surface Primer and Vallejo Airbrush thinner
  • Have you done anything different lately? have yet to use the iwata for fear of clogging
  • Have you tried using just water, tear-down and cleaning, dancing in a hula skirt swinging a mongoose over your head? I don't have access to a Mongoose or a hula skirt

That out of the way I am Legitimately worried about not thinning paints enough. Specifically I will be painting Wargaming miniatures. I have a color scheme for my 40k models but I am not sure what would be the best color primer and which would be the best base color on that primer so I want to do some color testing but I have gotten conflicting advice from youtubers over whether or not to do any extra thinning/reducing of the Vallejo Surface primers (grey, usn ghost grey, and german dark grey)

So Iwata Eclipse HP-CS and Vallejo brand paint users, do you do any extra thinning of your surface primer and paints and if so by how much?

Comments

I may.....MAY, just happen to know where you can find both a mongoose and a hula skirt.....just sayin.... As for the iwata and Vallejo primers, unfortunately I have no clue about. But I figure the mongoose and hula skirt might help. 🤣 I hope you find this info and help you need. Cheers!
