My home is in an area that is not a super popular international destination. I just got my first international booking - the profile has no picture, no city/country of origin, their name is written in non-English characters, the phone number is international (so I won’t have a way of texting or calling them outside the app) and they just made their account this month. What’s more, part of their name is “(Hidden by Airbnb)”. They clearly paid so it can’t be spam, I’m just concerned that someone is allowed to Instant Book with so little info. Should I call Airbnb to see if they have any info on their end that this is a legit booking?
