Keypad lock with remote access
Post Body

I feel like I’m going crazy. I’m looking for a simple solution that will lock/unlock my front door with a keypad code. I don’t want my guests to have to download an app to unlock a door.

I bought SimpliSafe, which nicely fits into existing lock and has an easy keypad attachment. But they neglected to tell me that the service to change the access code remotely (for when guests come and go) is now $25 a month after a free first month trial. So now I can no longer change my code. Is there any good solution? I looked into August but it looked like I either couldn’t change the codes remotely or there was an app required for guests, no keypad. Can’t remember which.

This is maddening! Don’t even get me started on the SimpliSafe doorbell. Switched to Ring fast.
