Hey so I put up my first BnB recently and booked it out for 27 days… the tenant seemed relatively normal but as I looked into his profile… his profile picture doesn’t show his face, the number of guests is different than what he reported (2 people instead of 2 and a child), and his phone number on AirBnB is not his real number/out of service. Also, he hasn’t been identity vetted on AirBnB, only phone and email.

I know it’s stupid but I was excited to get my first booking and didn’t know how to properly vet the guys. They also booked it same day so I didn’t have much time to check. These guys have been up and about and around all throughout the night, and it’s only day 2 of many——a family with kids lives upstairs so I’m genuinely concerned about what they’re doing in this BnB basement unit.

What can I do from here?? I’m not sure what the next steps are…

Should I check on the property myself? He is no longer answering my messages but I see him on the Blink cam. I’m lost because I’m almost certain something weird is going on here but idk if there’s anything I can do.
