Hey so I put up my first BnB recently and booked it out for 27 daysā¦ the tenant seemed relatively normal but as I looked into his profileā¦ his profile picture doesnāt show his face, the number of guests is different than what he reported (2 people instead of 2 and a child), and his phone number on AirBnB is not his real number/out of service. Also, he hasnāt been identity vetted on AirBnB, only phone and email.
I know itās stupid but I was excited to get my first booking and didnāt know how to properly vet the guys. They also booked it same day so I didnāt have much time to check. These guys have been up and about and around all throughout the night, and itās only day 2 of manyāāa family with kids lives upstairs so Iām genuinely concerned about what theyāre doing in this BnB basement unit.
What can I do from here?? Iām not sure what the next steps areā¦
Should I check on the property myself? He is no longer answering my messages but I see him on the Blink cam. Iām lost because Iām almost certain something weird is going on here but idk if thereās anything I can do.
Itās your very first guest so understandably youāre nervous and overreacting. Just relax and donāt bother your guest.
