2 week reservation, guest left after day 2 because of a small water leak that was fixed in 10 minutes.
Post Body

As the title says, I had a reservation that started on Tuesday. Wednesday night (1am Thursday morning) we received a message from the guest that there was a small leak coming from somewhere in the bathroom. I notified my maintenance team immediately upon seeing the message and they went out first thing.

When they arrived they tried calling the guest as no one was answering the door. They were there for about an hour before I gave them the okay to go inside and check things out. It was a small leak coming from the shower head pipe, but was fixed within minutes without damage to the walls or tiles. They set some fans out to dry the opposite side wall and carpet.

About 8 hours goes by and the guest calls and tells me he left and checked out due to a fear of mold. We just had a guest who was there for almost 3 weeks without reporting any type of leak or moisture anywhere in the house.

This is my first experience with an issue like this. What can I expect? Should I offer a partial refund, a full refund, decline refund because he didn’t give us a chance to fix it? Not sure what to do here.

Edit: wall moisture was claimed by guest. Maintenance didn’t detect any moisture in the wall, just a small patch of the carpet was wet (~ 1/2 sqft). Fans were placed as a precaution. The leak was only happening when the shower was running so it was not a persistent leak.
