I have been hosting a room in my home for over a year now. I just had to leave my very first negative review for a guest who had previously had 10 reviews, all 5 stars. This guest stayed past checkout, left excessive garbage in the room, dining room and kitchen, left the AC running (even though my checkout instructions are to turn off all lights and the AC), left food in the stove, and dirt all over the bed. It's not a good feeling leaving a guest a bad review, but we have to do it. I read too many posts and comments from hosts that say they don't leave a review for a guest if it's going to be less than 5 stars. Who is that helping? Certaintly not the next host who has to host that guest . To all my fellow hosts, please leave fair, honest, and unemotional reviews. If you don't then you are doing a disservice to all of us.
