What guest will you never forget? We’ve only had one bad one so far but at least it was more entertaining than infuriating.
A lady books last minute at 9 PM. She shows up to the front door of our house, where our address is prominently displayed and lit up, and asks if this is the AirBnB. I tell her yes and to go around the side of the house to the back door. She grumbles about it being hard to see our address and promptly disappears around the side.
I notice that the car that dropped her off is idling a few houses down. Don’t think too much of it, but thought it was a bit odd.
She messages my wife asking for a micro-USB charger, which I give her. I figure I’m unlikely to get it back but trying to be a good host. I didn’t get it back.
The next day my wife goes to clean the suite and finds both sets of doors wide open, condom wrappers in the toilet and dryer sheets stuffed in the roof. She was clearly smoking inside and trying to hide the smell.
We are still very new at this so we’re don’t want to rock the boat and give her a fine review. She complains about the location and value (we’re in a small town and we’re pretty cheap), which cost us our Superhost status.
She then goes and stays at other AirBnB’s, where she is accused is stealing stuff. The best part is that she responds to these reviews and calls people crazy. She actually stayed at my Aunt’s suite and stole throw pillows. 🤷♂️
The final thing though is that my wife was checking the emergency kit for the suite to make sure it didn’t need more bandaids/whatever. The lady stole everything out of it. Burn cream, bandaids, gauze. Why?
