As Ahmedabad expands, the toll on our environment is becoming undeniable. Take the loss of Sabarmati's green spaces—once vibrant areas are now being paved for new developments. The air quality has suffered, with PM2.5 levels frequently exceeding safe limits, leading to health issues. We now experience intense heat due to urban heat islands, making summers unbearable. Meanwhile, projects like the new flyovers are further choking our already limited greenery. Are we truly okay with sacrificing our environment for skyscrapers and infrastructure? What will Ahmedabad look like in ten years if this continues?
