I recall one evening I was out with my partner at a party at some mansion or other and as I was sipping my fourth frozen margarita, I noticed my wife was engaging in a rapidly accelerating debate over this subject of religion.
Turns out my (ex) wife was militantly atheist and her associate was dyed in the wool, so to speak, for Christianity.
As they bickered, it occurred to me that neither one, if asked, would be capable of providing irrefutable proof of their own point of view.
This, I think, is what drives me hardest to this point of view. What’s more, I find it difficult to care when I’m going to find out eventually, myself.
If it turns out there’s anything after life, I’ll write you all about it.
