Hi guys! so transitioning my PO to lead the Sprint Planning and refinement was quite easy.. no issues there ( I have been doing it as the SM) however in the actual refinements and planning he is looking to the team (tech lead in particular) to fill out the stories or what the priorities are. He couldn’t come up with one AC and again had to lean on the TL for direction. Other than sharing his screen you would think the tech lead wore both hats. I plan to talk to him about it but thinking about the best approach.. I think perhaps he may have issues with gathering requirements and conceptualizing it into stories.. I am trying to think how I can help and support him on this… he is new to the company and role (hired a year ago today actually) I have worked with new POs before but they were like Prior Business Analyst so the transition was different. I am just thinking of approaching this situation
