Post Body

Iā€™ve been a closeted warhammer fan for a bit getting into the franchise through total war and other video games, and Redding some of the old fantasy novels. But I was always hesitant to jump into it and talk about it with people cause it seemed like everytime I would mention warhammer to someone they would start talking about how horrible and toxic the people who played it were. Like I told someone and they literally said ā€œwe canā€™t be friendsā€ and walked away and ghosted my other friend who isnā€™t even into this stuff.

About a year ago I made the jump and got the dominion set and started to get into the lore and the hobby. And so far every time I come here or post something here yā€™all have been so supportive and nice itā€™s made me proud to show off my collection to people.

I dipped my toe into the 40k and fantasy communities and while most people were pleasant there definitely was a few moreā€¦ undesirables I encountered.

I made a post in the fantasy sub recently asking why people stuck with fantasy rather than jump into AOS and a lot of the responses I got seemed so angry and called AOS playerā€™s idiots. In comparison I posted the reverse question in here and got so many sweet stories about people just wanting to play a game with their friends or family.

I just wanted to express how I felt and let yā€™all know that this community is one of my favorites and you all broke my fear of being an out and proud warhammer fan.
