Just getting into AoS - never played any Warhammer before. TBH I’m mostly here for the painting - please give me some tips!

I’m bad at highlights and I’ve gone OTT on the dry brushing. Also I’ve been slapping EarthShade on everything as it’s the only shade I have.
I bought the Storm Strike box off eBay as I like both these armies.
I want to mostly paint and collect - maybe play if I get more into it.
I’d love some tips on how to improve!
