Inexpensive Mini Transport Ideas?

So I am trying to figure out the best way to transport my armies around for when I go out to the FLGS. I don't have a huge budget to work with either.
The first idea I had was basically just a metal cookie sheet and some round magnets that I can glue to my minis bases, and then maybe a tupperware or tote to place that in. Not sure if that would work.
Anyone out there got suggestions for transporting minis on the cheap?
