For every contentious trans issue, there is a better genderless solution

Bathrooms: single occupant gender neutral bathrooms are objectively better.
Pronouns: using they/them for everyone would be way simpler and would not risk offending anyone.
Sports: just put everyone in the same competition.
I'm pretty firmly convinced this will continue to hold for just about anything someone wants to make an issue of.
