I'd say I don't make the rules, but I actually do. I'm a rule maker. "It's not whether you win or lose. It's how you make the game." - Spy Kids 3: Game Over, probably.
Men, women, enbys, agenderinos—gay, all gay. Gay, gay, gay. If they like me, they're gay. And their mothers, too. Especially their mothers.
Call me Reverse Cowgirl Midas because everything that touches me turns to gay. It's a gift...and a curse.
But in all seriousness, how do y'all consider someone's interest in you? Just as pure interest in you the person, unmediated by gender?
Suppose a straight dude gets with me: it's important to me that he recognize I'm agender. I would feel more than a bit awkward if he considered it a straight relationship, because it wouldn't be. How would y'all navigate this?
The blanket of gayness is my way of making sure it's understood that I'm queer and what's going on is both very queer and very hot. Like, yeah, he'd be straight (like I'd be aro ace), but what would be happening would be very not straight. A straight man : agender person connection ain't a straight relationship, ya know? I wouldn't mind him calling himself straight as long as he'd properly recognize that I'm agender by not invalidating me in private or in public, and validating me, and so on.
