This is like a guy saying he is robbed because his g/f wanted a gift or they would break up. You can get the gift or break up. If he buys her a gift as part of her offer, deal or whatever, he did not get robbed, he reached in his wallet and paid for something. (I am NOT saying it is right, I am just saying if sex is an option, I can't see how it is rape.) I feel rape is an option-less choice and that is what makes it rape. The victim has no choice, then it is rape. If the victim has a choice, I would consider it a bad decision. From how this is written, sounds like she had a choice.

Some lovely false equivalencies. And because we all know having a choice to reduce the likelyhood and severity of violence against you makes a situation not rape... its so simple, having some choice, even severally limited ones, makes a situation not rape! So logical!

Difficult area, but i am inclined to think of it as, if not actual rape, then something very akin to it. And if you are actually given an ultimatum it's even worse. As for "YOU STILL SAID YES," i'm sure you'd say "Yes" if someone had a gun to your kid's head, so by your standard that wouldn't be rape either!
