I try to give him solid advice on things (most recently housing). For example, I told him not to pay over a third of his income on rent. And then he talked to his parents and they act like I have no right to give him any advice since I’m not a college grad even though I excelled in one of the best high schools in the country, went to a top twenty university and dropped out after two years due to cost and undiagnosed c-ptsd, and worked for an affordable housing nonprofit. I really don’t appreciate being treated like an idiot by these people who don’t know me or my background based on me not continuing to waste 68k a year during a mental health crisis.
