Is lightheadedness and fainting a common side effects for anyone else

I’m getting it really badly while standing up and almost blacked out earlier. I don’t take modafinil more than 2-3 times a week, and usually stick with 100-200 mg. I also tend to have pretty low blood pressure to begin with. My boyfriend gets this really badly and actually fainted once from standing up too fast. Is there anything we can do to counteract it, other than standing up more slowly?
