Last April I messed up my shoulder in a non aerial related accident that ended up requiring physical therapy as not only did I have pain and limited mobility, but there were obscenely loud and deep pops that would make sound whenever i rotated/lifted/ really do anything with my arm.
6 months into PT now, my pain/discomfort is now gone but the pops are still there, and now it's in both shoulders. I've looked online and some websites say it's a sign for concern and others say it's normal especially if there's no pain or ache. I'm just wondering if this comes with the territory when doing silks because I certainly never snap, crackled, and popped this much until I started.
Don't have the pops, but tore a rhomboid last year and after 15 months it's still not there. Most of the time it's fine, but when I train more intensely, I feel tension in that area - shoulder injuries take time to heal and often the shoulder won't come return to full functionality so if you have your physio's blessing and don't overdo it, it should be ok
