Logos in Google Ads get rejected

I"m revising my Google Ads, have inmersed myself to the stats, self-help, etc. A lot of work but I believe it will pay off. I have a simple question around my company's logo. Google keeps rejecting it. No copy, just my company's logo. I've been told that the actual logos are not allowed, just a modified version. Is this true?
