Problem/Goal: Seeking advice to any managers out here on how to deal with problematic staff
Context: Iām new to the team and just recently joined a few months ago. I came from a different company. Even before I joined them as their line manager, some of my staffs have issues na. Operation wise, their performance was good naman and no issues at all. However, ang issues nila is when comes to complying the required RTO (return to office) days. Some of them are having a hard time to comply since they were hired pandemic pa and full wfh. Then when change comes that we are required to RTO, nahirapan sila because they live far from the office. What they are doing is they are renting out a place during rto day, but problem is di na nila makaya ishoulder yung expenses from renting plus other finances dahil wala na matitira sa sahod nila. Financial constraints ang main issue kaya di sila nakaka comply. However, as much as I understand their situation, we still need to follow our company policy dahil di naman mag adjust ang company for a particular staff lang. Also affected din dito yung participation nila to any other activities outside of day to day work.
For managers out here, how do you deal with these?
Previous attempts: I already done some coaching and still even not attained the required RTO for consecutive months na. I will issue a written warning na but problem is, based from that staff, he/she is ready face any consequences kesa maburden sya sa finances from renting a place during rto.
