I’m 18 and not in advertising but one of my biggest goals in life is to eventually become a creative director. Though my plan isn’t 100% crystal clear I intend to work up to that position starting as a graphic designer and working up to art director and from there assistant CD... y’all know how it goes. I’ve met graphic designers before and a lot of them seem to be struggling due to the industries competitiveness, requirement for lots of years of experience and difficulty to build connections. I was wondering what are some good ways to break through these challenges and, if even possible, get a head start any way I can.
