Is it too late to join an ad agency?

I am 28, and in Mumbai (India), and I recently ( about 2 years ago) realised that I want to be a designer in an ad agency.. I joined a course, against my parents wishes, and the course kinda got stretched out due to some management issues.. But now I keep wondering if I a too old to be joining an agency, and as I have no experience, I keep thinking that my chances may have passed.. Is there a thing as too late?
