[2020 Day 20 (Part 2)] [Python 3] I'm missing one monster. I really can't figure out why. Can anyone see what's going wrong?

As the title says; my code counts 36 monsters. I got the second star by guessing the answer for 37 monsters; that was correct. However, I really don't know what I'm missing.
The monster-counting part of my code. By this time; the picture is already assembled and merged into a list of strings (one string per line). I'm already checking for mulitple monsters on one line. Any help or hint is much appreciated
