Does/has anyone else looked for their abusers to try to get answers?

Post Body

I've been talking to one of my abusers for a few months now. He was always nice to me and I trusted him. What happened with him was a one time occurrence. He found me from a post on FB about my extremely sick mother and I blew up on him in a public FB group. He continues to apologize every chance he gets and I enjoyed spending time with him when I was younger. At the time of the incident I was two or three and he was barely an adult. Now on to my question there is one other man who abused me. This man was in his 40's and was my mother's boyfriend. I was six and the abuse started within the first week of me knowing him. I've been trying to find him for a couple of weeks now because I feel like I need answers. I need to know why he did it. Does anyone else feel this way? Has anyone else looked for or found their abusers to ask them why? Also if you have and are comfortable with sharing what was the outcome?
