I just realized that a lot of people really suck when it comes to their relationships.

Specifically in monogamous relationships, the relationship sequence that we are taught by our parents in a Filipino household is mostly controlling, demeaning, and sacrificial. To the point that you are willing to endure abuse and bad behavior in relationships, it is the saddest thing, I have ever seen. I feel bad because a lot of people suffer from anxious attachment issues.
