Does anyone else notice that relationships wherein the guy is more crazier for the girl is more prone to abuse and violence?

Most of the relationships that I observed that have this sort-of dynamic, usually involve a very abusive and controlling man, most of the time, this possessiveness results into a violence. I’ve seen it amongst friends, families, and from a distance.
The guys who tend to be in these types of relationships are most of the emotional, insecure, and needy. The girl often sometimes finds the guy who is controlling to be masculine at first, but later on, the girl realizes that it is actually a red flag.
