For context, I met this guy online and we were planning on meeting up. I warned him that I’m not the dressy type of girl, and I usually am more comfortable in shirts and shorts. He assured me it’s okay, and I clarified that I go to Puregold in almost pambahay attire, trying to make a joke (I mean who would dress up at Puregold?)

The guy then said, “What’s Puregold?” I was shocked when he said this, since he grew up here/pure Filipino, only started living in a CBD for his graduate studies, and I’m pretty sure he would’ve at least saw one ad or passed by the said supermarket once in his lifetime. So again, I clarified, “If you don’t know Puregold, where do you buy groceries?” He calmly said, “S&R. I really don’t know what Puregold is.”
