Do you always follow your gut instincts? Especially when it feels wrong?

Post Body

Hey there. When your gut tells you something is off or something bad is about to happen, do you follow it?

I recently connected with someone, and things were okay for a few weeks communication-wise, then just slowly faded away. My gut instinct told me that this guy was probably two-timing or finding a distraction to a relationship problem. “I’m busy” as we know, is one of the most bullshit excuse someone could give, especially if this person can do online gaming for hours daily.

I was also told by a previous boss that not all gut instincts are logical, especially when hiring someone, yet when I ignored my gut instinct, the workplace itself (and its leadership hiring) turns to be one of the most toxic environments I’ve ever been in.

When would you know if your gut instinct is telling you otherwise?
