Longtime lurker on a throwaway account, looking for insight on how others navigate the AP space. I like to have multiple APs (2 or more) at any given time and all (except my husband) are aware of each other, similar to poly-style relationships.

Recently, a pAP made a comment that they believe everyone in this space is only looking for one other person and it’s uncommon to deviate once an affair has been established. As I came from a swing and poly background prior to entering my marriage, I admit that my perspective may be skewed.

Am I the odd girl out who seeks multiple AP interests at once to keep things exciting outside of my marriage, or are there others who balance 2 APs? Once you have an AP do you continue looking for others or do you focus on that individual only?
