While I am definitely sympathetic to those in dead-bedroom situations, I find an almost polar opposite situation driving my search for a new AP. While outwardly a well matched business owning couple (hence no chance of divorce for the foreseeable future) my partner and I have a chilly relationship in every way except for sex. Every aspect of our life, from dinner decisions, to chores,to school pick-up suffer from a simmering resentment. Sex is consistent, angry and aggressive, but consistent. I’ve found stimulating conversation with a reasonable human being, along with connected and fun sex the things I need in an AP. It requires me to do a bit more to make sure I have the stamina for an AP but those moments of real intimacy are so worth it. I suppose a benefit is I don’t have to hide scratches or bite marks?
