I live in Japan, wife is Japanese. We have a sexless relationship, but to her it's completely normal. You know all those studies about Japan being one of the least sexually-satisfied countries in the world? I can vouch that its true. Wife will allow sex once or twice a month and she thinks that she's on better end of the spectrum! Meanwhile I'd love to have sex at least 3 times a week, but I could probably do something sexual every day.

Today I ran into a Japanese forum where a woman asked everyone about frequency. When she first moved in with her boyfriend they had sex every day, but a few years later that dropped off to once a month. She states that her boyfriend isn't happy about it, but doesn't seem to care. Almost all of the comments chimed in with once a month being not bad, with some women almost proudly declaring that they hadn't had sex with their husbands in years.

If this is how the culture works, I can't compete with that at all. My wife sees me as abnormal for wanting it every day, and her peers agree completely with her. So I end up having sex with other women to compliment the deficiencies. This isn't really what I imagined married life to be.
